A BigTen Spring.

I was on the ESPN website today and spotted my Good Ole' PSU on the Feed.
ESPN Analyst Adam Rittenburg did a review of the PennState Football Team
after its Spring Training.
Here's What it's lookin' like for the Nittany Lions

While we did loose key players (our 3starting Widouts: Williams, Butler, & Norwood;
1st Rounder Aaron Maybin; and Center A.Q. Shipley) we
do have returning Key Players.
Such as QB Daryll Clark, LB Navarro Bowman, & RB Evan Royster.

According to the ESPN article:
DLine: The line is fine. Jack Crawford (rising Soph) appears to be the next
dominant pass rusher. Also good depth with DT J.Odrick.
Thank you Coach J.

QB Worries?: Daryll Clark gets it done. He took the title of the BigTen's
best quarterback with a good margin last season. Having this undisputed
leader will be beneficial to the team. He is possible the
most valuable player in all of the BigTen this fall.

Wideouts Emerge: The big question most PSU fans face is with the loss
of our multi-year starting widereceivers. However, post spring has brought
about new leaders ready for the task. With Graham Zug & Brett
Bracket who caught touchdowns in the Blue&White game. As well as roomies
Derek Moye & Chaz Powell provide a variety of wide receiving corps.

What remains questionable during the fall is the secondary. Even JoePa said he
was concerned. And according to ESPN our secondary needs a ton of work.
We cannot afford a Clark injury (knock on wood). While Kevin Newsome
showed some promise, he is not ready and will need much more practice
during the summer.

I was in attendence to a few of the spring practices and
I would agree with this assessment of our squad.
One thing ESPN didn't mention was our class of 2013
coming up this summer. All I got to tell say to ya'll is
2 words: GET READY. This 09 class is pretty great.
Not to mention we're deep from the DMV!
